Jera is a reckless Berlin teenager, hiding grief behind bravado. Sent to Sàpmi in northern Europe to stay with his Sámi grandparents, he arrives resistant, angry, disconnected from the land and his heritage.
A sudden accident leaves his grandfather injured, and Jera must navigate the frozen wilderness alone, trying to save them, facing the harsh weather, the scutiating silence, and the unknown. Guided by fragments of his mother’s lessons and his grandfather’s teachings, he begins to puzzle together two worlds he once saw as opposites: city life and ancestral roots.
As the wild tests him and his grandfather’s fate remains uncertain, Jera discovers that true strength comes from embracing all parts of himself and finding his own identity.
